Casa Pasha, an upscale dining and cocktail destination, is set to open at the northwest corner of N. Rochester and W. Tienken roads in Rochester Hills on Friday, Nov. 6.
Set in a retail center that includes Papa Joe’s Market, La Collina Ristorante Italiano, and Old Detroit Bar and Grille, among other merchants, Casa Pasha spans nearly 5,000 square feet and seats 130 people.
The restaurant — Casa Pasha means “house of luxury” — pairs Japanese technique and ingredient-driven cooking with the familiarity of refined American dining.
The menu includes an oyster trio with rice vinegar mignonette, Sudachi granita and watermelon-mint relish, sushi, a coal-smoked Caesar prepared tableside with fresh wasabi, white shoyu, and nori panko, a kombu-aged tomahawk cooked over live-fire, and other prime steaks and seafood.
“Casa Pasha is designed for everything from a celebratory dinner to evening cocktails at the bar, with a menu and atmosphere that gives guests a reason to settle in for the evening and become regulars,” says Brandon Rubenstein, owner of Casa Pasha.
Leading the kitchen is Executive Chef Pawat Aiemsomang, a Thailand native who started as a dishwasher in his family’s restaurants at 15 years old. He has cooked at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn.; Deuxave and Mystique in Boston; and Komodo and Makoto in Miami. He most recently was Komodo’s executive chef.
“Japanese cuisine has been my passion for my entire career and Casa Pasha gives me the chance to share it in a new way,” Aiemsomang says. “I think of our menu as a balance of fire and ice — wagyu cooked over flame on one side, delicate sushi on the other. My approach is simple, I lead with heart, technique, and vibe. Being good isn’t enough.”
Casa Pasha will celebrate its grand opening with a champagne welcome, while during the evening guests may discover a Golden Ticket hidden inside select check presenters at the end of their evening.
Distributed at random throughout the evening, the tickets unlock surprise experiences and special offerings from the Casa Pasha team.
Following the grand opening, the restaurant will be open Wed.–Sat. from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
