Join the City of Phoenix in supporting families and individuals facing increased food insecurity as the cost of living continues to rise. Many households are struggling to keep nutritious food on the table, and the City is once again partnering with St. Mary’s Food Bank to help meet this growing need, ensuring residents have access to nutritious meals.

The campaign webpage, phoenix.gov/hungerrelief, provides details on how community members can donate food or make financial contributions.

“Phoenix residents are always willing to step up to support their neighbors in need,” Mayor Kate Gallego said. “We’re working to make it even easier for them to do so by hosting a holiday season food drive with St. Mary’s Food Bank. I’m proud of the generosity of our community and welcome everyone who is able to donate food, money, or volunteer time to make this drive a success.”

Monetary donations are strongly encouraged because food banks can stretch the donation through bulk purchasing, tax exemptions, and dollar matches from the community. Just one dollar can provide an estimated ten meals for a food bank.  Monetary donations can be made by going to St. Mary’s Food Bank’s donation page.

“We are so pleased to have the city of Phoenix partner with us again this year,” St. Mary’s Food Bank President and CEO Milt Liu said. “Through the generosity of City employees and our caring community, the inaugural food and fund drive in 2025 allowed St. Mary’s Food Bank to distribute more than 156,000 meals to our neighbors in need. That need is even higher in 2026 as families struggle to put food on the table and we encourage everyone to support the city in this noble effort.”

Food donations can be dropped off at these city facilities during business hours:
