Oklahoma City restaurant temporarily closes after shooting at event left 2 dead, 3 injured
A new Oklahoma City restaurant says it will close indefinitely after a shooting at an event left 2 people dead and 3 others hurt.
OKLAHOMA CITY —
Two people were killed and three others injured after a fight escalated into a shooting at a restaurant in the Capitol Hill District in south Oklahoma City.
At about 12:30 a.m., the Oklahoma City Police Department was called to Dos Cinco Mexican Restaurant on Southwest 25th Street near Harvey Avenue in regard to a shooting. When officers arrived, they found multiple gunshot victims, and some of the victims had already been transported to a hospital by private vehicles.
The situation began with an altercation inside the restaurant.

Police said 23-year-old Mosses Sandoval shot and killed 20-year-old Adolfo Lopez, who was not armed and had his hands up. Lopez was attempting to deescalate the situation when he was shot by Sandoval, according to a homicide report from police.
Sandoval was then immediately shot and killed by another person in the restaurant.
Investigators are working to identify and interview those involved.
No arrests have been made in the case. The homicide report from police named Sandoval as a suspect.
In a statement posted to Facebook, Dos Cinco said their hearts are heavy as they process the events that unfolded.
The restaurant also said that its security team conducted screenings, but firearms still made it inside.

Dos Cinco Mexican announced it will remain closed until further notice out of respect for the victims and is cooperating with police in the investigation.
One person who works in the area said she doesn’t feel safe.
“That’s not something that [is] very surprising,” Ailin Rodriguez, who works in the area, said. “I don’t feel secure there… I don’t go for lunch at all because I don’t like it.”
