Actress, TV show host and Golden Globe and Emmy winner Drew Barrymore has partnered with a bagel shop with locations in Charleston and beyond.

In honor of the Sept. 14 premiere of the latest season of the “Drew Barrymore Show,” the celebrity’s new “Drew Berry-More Butter,” which includes salted butter, light brown sugar, strawberries, blackberries, maple syrup, raspberries, blueberries and gooseberries, will soon be available nationwide. The recipe was concocted by Barrymore herself.

In Charleston, it will be for sale as of Sept. 17 at PopUp Bagels at 83 Mary St. to go along with their freshly made bagels in a variety of flavors, from poppyseed to sesame to everything to salted.

On that day, the first 50 customers to order a three-pack of bagels will get their order for free, paired with the Drew Berry-More Butter. Customers can order in person or through the DoorDash app.

Inside Charleston’s location of PopUp Bagels, the music competes with the hollow hum of bagels hitting the racks and the voices of cheerful employees taking orders beneath a mural with celebrity customers, from Paul Rudd to Chris Rock, seen tasting the offering at the Instagram-famous shop’s other locations.

Barrymore is the latest celebrity to join the list of those supporting and partnering with the growing bagel brand.

Owned by Braxton and Frances DeCamp, the Charleston shop is the first of five planned across South Carolina. The expansion is part of a nationwide franchise growth plan for the company, which was launched six years ago in Westport, Conn., by Adam Goldberg.

PopUp Bagels is open from 7 a.m.-4 p.m. daily. For more information, visit popupbagels.com.
