Bring it on down to Biscuitville.
The North Carolina-based chain has claimed the title of America’s best fast-food breakfast for the fourth year in a row. Despite operating in just three states, its breakfast has beaten out all other national chains.
It earned the top spot in USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards and beat out larger chains known for their breakfast, like McDonald’s (No.4), Chick-fil-A (No. 5), Burger King (No. 6) and Wendy’s (No. 7).
Biscuitville Fresh Southern, which recently opened its 90th franchise, is a family-owned fast food chain known for their made-from-scratch biscuits, represented across North and Carolina, as well as Virginia

Their scratch-made business is prepared every 15 minutes from a three-ingredient family recipe that was passed down from Mitchell’s grandmother. The company also prides itself on having no microwaves or instant cooking tools in their kitchens.
Kristie Mitchell , Biscuitville’s chief marketing officer, prided the biscuit-making business on the hand-cracked eggs and that only fresh ingredients are used, not partially cooked items arriving to be re-heated.
“We get comments all the time from our feedback line that says, ‘Your biscuit tastes just like my grandmother’s biscuit,’” Mitchell told Fox News Digital. Mitchel said the biscuits, grit and eggs are Southern breakfast staples that still resonate with people who didn’t grow up eating them.

Biscuitville was recently listed for “Regional Restaurant Chains that Should Go National” an dwere prided on not only their biscuits but their breakfast sandwiches with sausage or bacon egg and cheese, smoked sausage with peppers and onions, spicy and fried chicken, country ham and breakfast platters.
The chain started in 1966 as a bakery, then turned pizzeria until they decided biscuits would help them catch early-morning breakfast business. Their popularity ended up making it their sole focus in the 1970s, their stores being open from 5:00 a.m to only 2:00 p.m.
Mitchell told Fox News Digital “we have earned it but we don’t want to live in a space where we come to expect it.”
Biscuitville has been on USA Today’s 10 Best Regional Fast Food list since 2019, along with its 4 year victory as Best Fast Food Breakfast. Biscuitville was chosen by readers after it was included among 20 nominees in the fast-food breakfast category after public voting ran for four weeks.
Redditors gave Biscuitville their flowers, posting that the “line is always around the block” for biscuits, with one even saying lines are so ridiculous they stopped going, as the wait for the drive through was 30 minutes.
But as with every fast-food chain, people have their qualms. “You’ll like biscuitville if you enjoy really dry biscuits.. the egg is also not very good, it’s just bland,” said one user, and another said “try eating one without a drink.”
