For anyone who has ever wished they could step inside a piece of culinary history, here’s a house with one seriously impressive former resident. Julia Child’s longtime Cambridge, Massachusetts, home is on the market.
The legendary chef and television personality lived in the house for decades. While its interiors have been renovated, the property still has the distinction of being the place Child called home during a huge portion of her career.

Naturally, the kitchen is going to attract some attention in a house associated with Julia Child. Of course, anyone familiar with Child knows just how important the kitchen was to both her work and her public persona. The house may look very different today than it did during the years she lived there, particularly after its renovations, but knowing who once cooked, worked, and lived within those walls gives it a history no remodel can erase.
