Moe’s Southwest Grill opens first Washington location

The first Washington location of Moe’s Southwest Grill is now open at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

The restaurant had its grand opening Aug. 19 at 6029 41st Division Drive.

The Mexican chain serves a Tex-Mex menu with items like burritos, tacos, bowls, quesadillas and nachos. There also are dippers (mini burritos) and stacks, which combine protein, beans, shredded cheese and pico de gallo between two corn shells all wrapped in a grilled tortilla.

Moe’s operates over 500 locations throughout the United States, mostly on the East Coast and in the South and Midwest.

“The Exchange is constantly looking for ways to bring more variety, convenience and better-for-you choices to the military communities we serve,” said Mahleewan Harlow, JBLM exchange services business manager, in a news release. “Moe’s Southwest Grill is a strong addition to JBLM’s food lineup because it gives diners fresh, flavorful options they can personalize, whether they are grabbing a quick lunch during the duty day or enjoying a meal with family.”

Moe’s joins other restaurants at the JBLM Exchange like Texas Roadhouse, Arby’s, Panera and Subway.

The new JBLM location is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day.
