Toronto will soon be home to Canada’s very first build-your-own pho concept.
Renso Pho-Potle is set to soft open at 506 Queen St. W. on Sept. 19, with its grand opening scheduled for Oct. 3, according to their website.
“We’re preparing something special for Queen West,” the team states online. “Be among the first to experience build-your-own pho. Your broth, your protein, your bowl, your way.”
The team has been showcasing their 100% Halal certified Vietnamese food at pop-ups and festivals around Toronto this summer. And they have officially moved into their new location on Queen and Portland.
“We can’t wait to introduce you to Renso Pho-Potle, Canada’s very first build-your-own Pho concept,” they recently shared. “We’re bringing a fresh, delicious twist on Vietnamese comfort food right to the heart of downtown Toronto. We’re opening our doors very soon.”
Earlier this month, Renso Pho-Potle, which describes itself as Toronto’s very first “DIY Pho concept,” announced that it was hiring for all positions for its Queen West location.
Among the roles available are line cooks, kitchen helper, servers, hosts, and a bartender.
Another September restaurant opening
Ahead of Renso Pho-Potle’s opening, a renowned Michelin-recognized Japanese chain known for its aburasoba is also set to launch its first downtown Toronto location. After opening in North York last year, Kajiken is set to launch at 214 Queen St. W. on Sept. 5.
The restaurant announced that for its soft opening, from Sept. 5 to 7, they will be giving out free bowls to the first 100 customers each day. Visitors will get to pick the bowl of their choice: Original Abura Soba, Sukiyaki Abura Soba or Homura Abura Soba.
