A Florida steakhouse is hosting a monthly nude dining event featuring a five-course meal, a champagne toast and a “social dining atmosphere”

Diners at a Florida steakhouse can turn up in their birthday suit once a month — but they need to make a reservation first.
On the first Monday of every month, CLASS Soirée Steakhouse in Hollywood, Florida (about 21 miles north of Miami) hosts its Nude Dining Experience.
According to an Eventbrite page, the experience consists of a champagne toast, a five-course steakhouse dinner and a “social dining atmosphere with fellow nude guests,” with robes provided.
Maurad Ali, the steakhouse’s owner and chef, told local outlet WPLG that he came up with the idea to generate new business and some publicity, adding that his employees are all “professionals” and respectful of the restaurant’s naked patrons.

The most recent event took place on Monday, Aug. 3, reported the Sun Sentinel, a local outlet.
Guests were able to dig into grass-fed filet mignon and Florida lobster tail, as well as dishes including vegetable spring rolls, truffle mac ‘n’ cheese and French-style mashed potatoes. For dessert, they enjoyed beignets and ice cream.
“You’d think [with] a concept as risqué as this that the main attraction is nakedness, but for us it’s the food,” Ali told the newspaper. “We want people to feel fancy and have themselves an upscale meal.”
The Eventbrite page reads, “Our Nude Dining Experience is an in-person event where you can relax, connect, and enjoy delicious food completely au naturel.”
The description continues: “It’s all about embracing freedom, good vibes, and great company. Come as you are and make memories that’ll last a lifetime!”

Tickets are $250 for men and $150 for women, with a deal of $300 total if a pair comes as a couple, the Sun Sentinel reported. The next Nude Dining Experience is set for Monday, Sept. 7, and it will run from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. local time, per Eventbrite.
Joann Hussey, a spokesperson for the city of Hollywood, confirmed to WPLG that the idea is legal, “because the staff members working are clothed.”
Regardless, the concept has certainly divided opinion among locals, and even Hollywood Mayor Josh Levy has shared his view.
He told the Sun Sentinel that he’s a big fan of Ali’s cuisine. “We’ve enjoyed our dinners there for years,” he said. “If there’s a market and the shades are drawn, hey, different strokes for different folks.”

However, he did suggest he may give the experience itself a miss, admitting, “You probably won’t find me there on the first Monday of the month.”
CLASS Soirée Steakhouse did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
