KEOKUK — Local McDonald’s owner/operators are once again celebrating the teachers who make a difference every day with the launch of the seventh annual McDonald’s Outstanding Educator Awards.
Community members are invited to nominate an exceptional K–12 educator to receive a $250 award in recognition of their dedication to students and education.
Nominations are open now through September 27 at mcdonaldsmo.com/outstanding-educator.
Created in 2020, the Outstanding Educator Awards recognize teachers who go above and beyond for their students, inspire a love of learning, and make a meaningful impact in their schools and communities.
Since the program began, local McDonald’s owner/operators have awarded more than $52,700 to 337 educators across the region.
“Teachers have an incredible impact on the lives of young people, and we see that impact throughout our communities every day,” said Emily Mast, local McDonald’s owner/operator.
“We’re proud to recognize these deserving educators with a $250 award and, just as importantly, shine a light on the teachers who show up for their students, believe in them, and help them become their very best.”
Parents, students, fellow educators and community members are encouraged to nominate a deserving teacher by sharing how that educator has made a difference for their students, school or community.
For seven years, the Outstanding Educator Awards have given local McDonald’s owner/operators an opportunity to say thank you to the teachers whose impact reaches far beyond the classroom.
