Did you know that queso has its own national holiday? National Queso Day takes place every year on Sept. 20.
To round up the best spots to celebrate the cheesy holiday, I took to my loyal friends on Nextdoor and asked them where they get their favorite queso in Fort Worth.
Previously, Star-Telegram readers voted for their favorite queso, crowning The Original Mexican Eats Cafe as the best in town. I would like to honorably mention this staple, as Nextdoor users left this one out.
As for National Queso Day deals, there are few and far between. Torchy’s Tacos is giving away a free, large green chile queso with chips with any purchase, for rewards members only. And that’s all I’ve seen.
