A Mexican restaurant is bringing tacos, enchiladas and burritos to a Dauphin County shopping center.
Señor El Sol Mexican Grill opened Sept. 12 at 6301 Grayson Road at Swatara Square in Swatara Township.
The owner is Juan Garcia, who also owns El Sol Express in Swatara Township. He opened the first Señor El Sol in February at 275 Hershey Road in South Hanover Township.
Garcia, who formerly owned El Sol Mexican Restaurant in Harrisburg, is shifting toward smaller establishments and is strategic about picking locations.
“I picked it because I think it has a lot of potential. It has parking and a lot of traffic coming in and out,” Garcia said.
The restaurant operates under the moniker “authentic Mexican dining at its best.”
Señor El Sol follows a mostly takeout model, although it offers seating for about 60 people. Diners order at a counter, and food is delivered to their tables.
The menu features popular items from Garcia’s other restaurants, with everything from appetizers to desserts.
Starters include ceviche, birria egg rolls, cantina taquitos, guacamole and queso dips. The menu highlights various quesadillas, salads, bowls, fajitas, tacos, tortas, burritos and enchiladas.
Entrees range from carne asada to chile relleno and a grilled chicken breast topped with roasted corn and peppers, served in a spicy diablo sauce.
It’s open 11 a.m.-9 p.m., daily.
