CT restaurant, ice cream shop has closed

A burger and ice cream shop has closed their Naugatuck location, according to a Facebook post.

G’s Burgers announced the news Sunday, Sept. 27, according to the post.

“It is with mixed emotions that we announce today will be our final day of operations,” according to the post. “We are incredibly grateful to have served the Naugatuck and surrounding communities for the past 13 years. Thank you to all of our customers and supporters who have been with us through it all. Stop in today to bid farewell and grab one last fresh burger, hand cut fries and premium ice cream sundae. It’s been our pleasure.”

The post has since garnered over 150 interactions with more than 70 comments and 40 shares, with customers lamenting the news.

“Noooooo best fast food around!” one customer wrote.

“So sad to hear this!” said another. “G’s burger was the only thing one of our beloved pugs would eat near the end of her life. Fresh only, so we had to come up every night. We will miss you!”

“So sad to hear this !” another wrote. “I have lots of great memories taking my son here with my grandfather who is no longer with us . It was one of our favorite places for years .”

Another customer said “This is so sad!! My favorite lunch spot while at work. My favorite burger and fries!”

“Just ate our final meal there and it was delicious as always!” wrote another customer. “We love you guys!”
