A worldwide Nashville-style hot chicken chain has finally set plans for a new restaurant in a major foodie destination. San Antonio already has Dave’s Hot Chicken, but now Austin will be getting its first location.
Dave’s Hot Chicken filed plans for a $500,000 renovation/alteration to a space located at 3500 E. Parmer Lane, Suite 12125, Austin, TX 78754, according to a new Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing. This location will be the first Dave’s Hot Chicken in Austin proper, but not the first for suburbanites living north of the city.
The chain also has three other restaurants in Central Texas — one in Schertz, two in San Antonio and another planned for New Braunfels.
Austin’s first Dave’s Hot Chicken will be a 2,752-square-foot, standalone restaurant within the new East Village shopping center near the Samsung Austin Semiconductor offices, northeast of the city. Dave’s will join a lineup of other East Villege eateries like Killer Burger, Shake Shack and First Watch.
Construction on the Dave’s is expected to begin on January 18, 2027 and is expected to be completed by June 5 of next year.
In 2017, Dave’s Hot Chicken began as a make-shift stand in a East Hollywood parking lot , according to its website. The restaurant went viral on social media and quickly grew with nearly 400 locations, best known for its various flavors of spicy hot chicken tenders and sandwiches.
