Forget the Lucky Cat you thought you knew and make way for Lucky Cat Steak!
Not long after Gordon Ramsay debuted his London-born Asian dining concept in Miami Beach, the famous British chef and TV host has decided to give the space a revamp. Recognizing that Miami diners crave places tailored to their own backyard, the restaurant is being reborn as Lucky Cat Steak.
This Japanese and Korean-inspired steakhouse created exclusively for the city combines a high-energy dining room and lounge with live-fire cooking and Latin American influences. It seats 152 guests and opens just in time for the holiday season on November 25.
“Opening Lucky Cat in 2024 showed me that this city doesn’t always want a concept designed somewhere else, it deserves a restaurant created specifically for Miami,” Ramsay said in a statement. “We reimagined the entire experience around what this city loves: incredible sushi, bold Asian-inspired flavors, amazing local produce, elevated cocktails and serious steaks cooked over live fire…. And this time, we’re bringing the steak.”

Developed with Executive Head Chef Michael Howells, the moody, late-night lounge energy remains, but the star of the show is now an open-flame robata grill. Expect a standout beef program featuring USDA Prime, Texas Akaushi, A5 Miyazaki and Australian Blackmore Wagyu.
The menu also serves as a nod to the city’s Latin and tropical roots, with pops of mango and papaya alongside dishes like wagyu bulgogi tacos and black cod croquettes. They’ve even given the GFC (Gordon’s Fried Chicken) a local glow up by swapping it for prawns to create the GFP.
As for sushi and sashimi options, there are plenty of fresh rolls, scallop sashimi and Korean-inspired sides like crispy tofu bibimbap and freshly rolled kimbap to go around.
Rolling the dice on cocktails
The drinks here are just as tropical and Asian-inspired, with highlights like the Okinawa margarita (featuring kumquat, Thai basil and salted shiso air) and the spicy passion & mango margarita.
If you’re feeling lucky, order the Lucky Negroni, an interactive cocktail where you literally roll dice to choose your combination from six gins, six bitters and six vermouths for a one-of-a-kind pour!
