COLUMBIA — There’s a new lakeside dining and entertainment destination coming to Lake Murray.
Hooked on the Water will open at 110 Anglers Way in Lexington in late 2026, according to a Sept. 14 press release. An exact opening date hasn’t been publicly announced, but more information about opening plans will be revealed in the coming weeks, a representative said.
The 19,000-square-foot property will combine five hospitality concepts, including an elevated fine-dining restaurant, casual downstairs dining, an outdoor social space, a live music venue and a private event space.
The business is “set to become one of South Carolina’s largest waterfront dining and entertainment destinations of its kind,” according to the press release.
The property is located within The Retreat at Lake Murray, a 66-acre residential community, a representative for the business said. The listed address doesn’t yet appear on online maps, but the property is near 1777 U.S. 378, not far from one end of Calks Ferry Road. Images posted on its website and Facebook page show a multi-story lodge with large windows overlooking the lake.
What to expect
Dining at the destination is led by local chef Andy Marchant, who will pair Southern influences with a focus on fresh, local ingredients, the press release said.
Before leading Hooked on the Water, Marchant was the executive chef for Cinnamon Hill Kitchen, a scratch catering company in Lexington.
The business’ restaurants will offer distinct menus across its fine-dining and casual restaurant spaces, which will also feature three bars. Its fine-dining room & bar will serve prime steaks and seafood dishes, while the casual concept will offer up burgers and flatbreads.
“There’s really nothing else like this on Lake Murray,” Marchant said in the release. “We’ve put a lot of thought into the menus and what we felt was missing here and what people would actually enjoy. We’re excited to finally get the doors open and let people experience it.”
The venue will also host live music and other events, with its first performers and event details to be announced closer to opening, the release said.
For anyone already “hooked” on the concept, customers can join the “Anchor Club” membership program through the business’ website for free, which offers a first look at menus, opening dates, special events and more, according to the Hooked on the Water website.
