CHARLESTON — The Neighborhood Dining Group is preparing to debut a seafood restaurant concept, its third newcomer in as many years.
Cheeky, an establishment offering “bright seafood, bold flavors, plenty of bubbles and a room that evolves with the rhythm of the neighborhood,” will be located at 151 Meeting St., Suite 150. Ownership is targeting a fall 2026 opening for the new restaurant, housed steps away from the Gibbes Museum of Art.
Offering lunch and dinner, Cheeky’s menu will feature a range of seafood selections and an accompanying beverage list highlighted by cocktails and refreshing, crisp wines, a press release said. The 5,300-square-foot restaurant will feature a large indoor dining room with an expansive bar and open-air windows. A patio area will offer outdoor seating that overlooks Meeting Street.
“We wanted to create a restaurant that feels polished but still knows how to have fun,” Kenny Lyons, president of The Neighborhood Dining Group, said in the release. “Offering a front-row seat to all the excitement of this area of town, Cheeky is designed to feel lively, social and connected to the energy of Meeting Street.”
The Neighborhood Dining Group, owners of Husk, Minero, Delaney Oyster House, The James and Marbled & Fin, is partnering with Atlantic Artisan Construction and MB Within Interior Design to complete renovations and design the space. Menu and culinary team specifics will be announced at a later date.
