In Richmond, a variety of new restaurants and businesses are opening up that you’re sure to love and we’re highlighting them in the latest edition of “What’s New in RVA!”

Here’s a look at the new businesses, restaurants, and events near and far to look forward to in September.
RestaurantsLoves Public Kitchen is located at 416 E. Grace St. in the Arts District. It’s owned by the same team behind the Richmond staple, Lillie Pearl. The restaurant offers California-style comfort food, with a menu featuring dishes like jambalaya pasta, avocado egg rolls, and French onion meatloaf. At the bar, you can find beer from Blackwell and Brainstorm Brewery along with an expansive cocktail menu. El Fogon Grill ,located at 7826 Midlothian Turnpike, offers a mix of bold Latin American favorites and flavors to the river city. The menu features a variety of dishes, including pupusas, soups, Tex-Mex options, seafood cocktails, burgers, sandwiches, and appetizers. There are also breakfast options available, along with several meat choices. Highlights from the menu include carne asada, a steak and chicken mix, grilled shrimp, parrilladas, fajitas, quesadillas, burritos, and bowls.Best Wings & Tacos has opened a new location at 5956 Brook Road. The menu features a variety of Mexican-American meals, including chicken, burgers, fries, tacos, burritos, seafood, and more. They also offer desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth.Antonelli’s Deli is located at 3401 Patterson Ave. This Italian-inspired deli offers freshly baked bread and high-quality meats for sandwiches in a luncheonette-style setting. The deli features a custom bread oven shipped from Italy, and patrons can expect six signature sandwiches that highlight curated meats and cheeses, along with top-notch provisions, daily specials, and sides.Roots Natural Kitchen has opened a new location in the Short Pump area, located at 4101 Dominion Blvd, Glen Allen, VA. Delusion RVA at 3122 W Cary St, Suite C (aka, the former home of Hiss Off), is RVA’s artist alley. Artist alleys are typically at conventions where artists can sell their art as vendors in various forms like as keychains, stickers, magnets, prints and more. At Delusion, you’ll be able to find local artists and artists from all within the store from any fandoms you can think of. Their grand opening is Sept. 3 and are asking for ideas and suggestions here. Eclipse Pinball at 1210 Altamont Ave is a pinball arcade with more than 50 games to play. They also host a monthly pinball tournament for women and femmes called “Mistress of the Mooncade.”Sound Hall Studios at 2821 N. Parham Road, Suite 204 is a music studio owned by music industry veterans Shannon Loy and Chris Davis. Sound Hall Studios believes music is for everyone and is a community-centered hub where musicians of every age, background, and skill level have access to professional space, quality equipment, and genuine support. Tous Les Jours is opening a new location on Midlothian Turnpike. This French-Asian-inspired bakery first opened in Lotte Market, but now they are upgrading to a standalone brick-and-mortar location. They are known for their freshly baked breads, cakes, and pastries, as well as their breakfast sandwiches.Rock n Roll Sushi is coming to Richmond, bringing American-style sushi and rock and roll music. Not only does the restaurant serve bold, freshly made sushi flavors, but they also offer hibachi favorites. The experience is designed to be a destination, complete with rock and roll-inspired music and decor. The menu includes hibachi bowls, appetizers, and, of course, sushi.Seaweed and Pearl at 13142 Midlothian Turnpike in Midlothian is a estheticians studio. Their treatments blend the healing benefits of sea botanicals, minerals, and modern skincare science to bring your skin—and spirit—back into balance.
