FORT THOMAS, Ky. (WKRC) — A popular Fort Thomas restaurant will close this summer to make way for a new globally inspired dining concept.

Taste Food and Wine Group announced that Grassroots & Vine, located on S. Fort Thomas Ave., will be transformed into Traveler’s Table, which is expected to open in August.

Traveler’s Table is the latest concept from restaurateurs Lauren and Challis Hodge, whose portfolio also includes Taste on Elm, Conserva and Taste Cellar & Pantry.

The new restaurant will feature cuisine inspired by destinations around the world, with an emphasis on international flavors and shared dining experiences.

“We’re incredibly grateful for the support we have received over the years and excited to introduce something new to the community,” co-owner Challis Hodge said in a media repease. “This concept has been in development for quite some time, and we believe it will offer guests a unique experience while continuing our commitment to exceptional food, wine, and hospitality.”

The restaurant will undergo renovations before reopening, including updates to the dining room and outdoor seating areas.

Owners said additional details, including the menu, opening date and full concept, will be announced in the coming weeks.
