According to the program’s narration, the segment features establishments ranging from seafood restaurants to steakhouses while celebrating businesses that have remained part of the local dining scene for years.
At the No Name restaurant on Boston’s Fish Pier, owner Jimmy Contos explains that the restaurant evolved from serving fishermen to welcoming tourists, business customers and local regulars. Contos says the restaurant’s approach is simple: “Good food at reasonable prices with few frills.” This Classic Chronicle episode also highlights the Union Oyster House, Jacob Wirth’s, Jimmy’s Steer House and other longtime restaurants as examples of longevity in the industry.
