A woman said she found a metal object baked inside her Texas Roadhouse chicken tenders. Here’s what she captured and what her audience said.
A Texas Roadhouse customer ordered some chicken tenders to-go, only to find something unsavory baked in her meal. Now, she’s calling the company out after swallowing a piece of metal.
Anita (@anitachanell) posted a video that received more than 9,700 views. In it, she identifies what appears to be a staple or another metal object. The object ended up in the breading of her chicken tenders.
In her video, she says, “Y’all, look what was in my Texas Roadhouse chicken goodies. That’s crazy. Is that a staple? Like, what is that?”
It’s unclear what exactly it was, although Anita stated in her description that she accidentally consumed at least some metal while eating.
Unidentified Object In Texas Roadhouse Chicken Tender
Anita’s first guess regarding the unidentified object in her meal was that it was a staple. Her commenters, however, had other guesses.
“That’s a piece of a brush for the grill. I’ve had to replace mine multiple times at home,” one commenter said.
Another commenter added, “It’s from a steel wool pad that they scrub the sides of the fryers with. They didn’t clean it correctly before they poured the grease back in it.”
Others referenced the recent hoax involving the chain.
The Viral Texas Roadhouse Hoax
In August 2026, a viral Facebook post claimed that some Texas Roadhouse employees target Black customers and spit in their food.
Texas Roadhouse responded to the allegations in a statement to BroBible and confirmed the post was a hoax. There was no evidence to prove that there was a greater food tampering scheme at the chain.
“We have found no credible evidence of food tampering or that this accusation is based in truth. We have engaged with a third-party firm to help us attempt to locate the source of this unfounded allegation,” a spokesperson told BroBible.
But the situation left a lasting impression on some.
One commenter, for instance, asked, “Why would you go there when they were spitting in the food anyway, especially if you’re black?”
Another viewer said, “Are you black? Then it’s a staple.”
Anita told her audience she wasn’t aware of the situation or the “craziness.” Her viewers, in light of that, urged her not to go back to the restaurant.
It’s unclear if the content creator has intentions of visiting again, although it’s evident the metal object—and the previous backlash the company responded to—have made an impact on how customers are treating the previously beloved restaurant chain.
