LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — A Lima restaurant continues its support of the West Ohio Food Bank with cool cars, good food and live music.
Car and Bike Night at Wings and Rings wrapped up another successful summer. Every Monday for the last four months, a percentage of sales at the restaurant has gone to support the food bank.
The great weather brought out a crowd of cars and people for the final event of the year. State Bank also brought its truck and handed out ice cream sandwiches with a donation.
The food bank appreciates partnering with local businesses to help feed families in its 11-county service area.
“It’s a great way just to get funds to help us out and it’s a fun way to do it. So if people want to come out and just have a great dinner, it’s given back and it’s not taking anything out of their pocket. I mean it’s all about partnerships for us and we’re always looking for that whether it’s a business or individuals. So having this longevity with Wings and Rings like we have has been wonderful and we have continued to build that relationship. We’re just so thankful and grateful that they allow us to do this,” says Tommie Harner, CEO, West Ohio Food Bank.
The food bank still must get a final total for this year, but last year, the Car and Bike Nights raised more than $6,000 for the food bank.
