QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) — To ensure safe dining for New Yorkers, the New York City Health Department conducts unannounced inspections at restaurants citywide at least once a year.

Grades are typically assigned after inspection, but restaurants with repeated violations may face closure.

Since the beginning of September, seven restaurants across Queens have been closed down for violating regulations, according to ABCEats, the City’s restaurant inspection lookup tool.

Below is the list of restaurants, along with several notable safety violations that health inspectors uncovered

Asian Halal Kitchen at 90-02 Corona Avenue

Live roaches in food or non-food areas.

Evidence of mice or live mice in food or non-food areas.

Juancho Valdez Coffee at 79-06 37 Avenue

Evidence of mice or live mice in food or non-food areas.

Food preparation area, food storage area, or other area used by employees or patrons, contaminated by sewage or liquid waste.

Pancafe at 90-40 160 Street

No approved written standard operating procedure for avoiding contamination by refillable returnable containers.

No hand washing facility in or adjacent to toilet room or within 25 feet of a food preparation, food service or ware washing area.

QC Campus Eats/Taiwanese Yummy/Pan Asian Food/Mama Kitchen at 64-36 Kissena Boulevard

Live roaches in food or non-food areas.

Food, supplies, or equipment not protected from potential sources of contamination.

Sagar Restaurant at 168-25 Hillside Avenue

Evidence of mice or live mice in food or non-food areas.

Filth flies, FRSA flies, or other nuisance pests in food and/or non-food areas.

Sofi’s Deli and Grill at 125-10 Rockaway Boulevard

Evidence of mice or live mice in food or non-food areas.

Filth flies, FRSA flies, or other nuisance pests in food and/or non-food areas.

Tea Mania at 82-27 164 Street

Live roaches in food or non-food areas.

Food contact surface not properly washed, rinsed and sanitized after each use and following any activity when contamination may have occurred.
