Labor Day ushers in the unofficial beginning of fall and communities across South Carolina are gearing up for festival season.
There are events honoring farms, okra, apples, makers, BBQ, boiled peanuts and shrimp. In addition, events will celebrate Greek culture, Black heritage and German food, beer and music.

Revamped this year and held at Hollywild Animal Preserve, Upstate Renaissance Faire says the location offers more space, expanded parking, and a magical setting.
Renaissance regalia encouraged. Live entertainment, demonstrations, vendors, ax throwing, candle making and even photos with a kangaroo.
