Greenville’s HeyDay Sandwiches and Cocktails offers Restaurant Week deal
GREENVILLE, S.C. —
South Carolina’s Restaurant Week is running from Aug. 13 through Aug. 23, giving local restaurants a chance to showcase menu items while giving customers a good deal.
In Greenville, HeyDay Sandwiches and Cocktails is running its own special restaurant week menu that gives customers the chance to pick what they would like. For $28, customers can decide between any one of HeyDay’s signature cocktails, sandwiches and snacks.
The restaurant opened in 2024 on Highway 25, creating an indoor and outdoor experience for families. The property features a greenspace with seating and toys for children. Co-owner Sarah Klaassen and her husband have been operating the business and joined the Restaurant Week initiative, which is spearheaded by the South Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association in 2025.
“You know, it brings in a lot of new customers for us. A lot of our regulars– gives folks a chance to come and try out our menu at a little bit more of an affordable rate so they can try an assortment. You know, they get the snack, the entree, they can get the signature cocktail that we have to offer,” Klaaseen said.
General Manager James King told WYFF 4 that the menu is carefully crafted, and while some of the snack menu items offered for Restaurant Week are a bit smaller in serving size than normal, it’s still a good opportunity to try their items at a cheaper rate.
Some restaurants feature a fixed menu for the 11-day week, but not HeyDay. Customers can pick anything they like and substitute the cocktail for a mocktail if they want to. Restaurants are not obligated to put a drink on their special menu, but HeyDay does. Klaassan said it’s one of the things they do best, so they saw it fit to include it in the deal.
“Not a lot of places don’t offer the alcoholic beverage with their restaurant week options. But since it’s one of our main offerings here, we really wanted to have a chance to showcase what we do best,” Klaassan said.
She told WYFF that restaurant week is one of the best ways to try new places and support local.
“Restaurant Week is really just a big opportunity to support local, really pushes out to the community to get in and try some of these local restaurants, support these local chefs, local community members, try their food, and just, you know, kind of be able to kind of spread the word about these local restaurants,” Klaasan said.
