The Central California Food Bank announced Monday the start of its sixth annual Triple Match fundraiser, partnering once again with Bank of America to triple up to $30,000 in community donations to help fight hunger across the Central Valley.

The two-day campaign runs Thursday through Friday. It also marks the nonprofit’s 34th anniversary. The food bank, which began operating from a temporary facility at the Fresno Fairgrounds, now serves more than 320,000 people each month across Fresno, Madera, Tulare, Kings and Kern counties through a network of more than 260 partner agencies.

“This birthday, we’re asking our community to help us make 3x the difference,” said Kym Dildine, co-CEO of the Central California Food Bank. “With Bank of America’s Triple Match, every dollar donated will go 3x as far to provide nutritious food for families, children, seniors, and veterans across Central California. Join us, give today.”

Funds raised during the campaign will support the organization’s Groceries2Go program, an appointment-based grocery pickup service launched during the pandemic that provides fresh produce, dairy, eggs, protein, pantry staples and other nutritious foods.

Bank of America has participated in the fundraiser since it began. The bank also supports other local nonprofits, including Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County, Marjaree Mason Center and Poverello House through its charitable giving efforts.

“Helping meet people’s basic needs is fundamental to building stronger communities and expanding economic opportunity,” said Mark Riley, Bank of America Fresno and Visalia president. “Together, we can help more children, families, seniors, and veterans access the nutritious food they need while supporting healthier, more resilient communities across Central California.”
