I’d ask your boss to buy em cooked and peeled by the bucket. Individually the cooked and peeled eggs are a bit more expensive, but only as long as you don’t factor in the electricity/gas, the water and the labour time to get to the done product.

I usually do 12 in about 10 minutes so…2.5 hours? Do I get to watch youtube while I peel?
moniqer
I used to do this every day working at a Ramen house. 180 eggs, sometimes 360. 180 would take me about an hour.
TheJesusSixSixSix
If you can open up at least 4-5 a minute chef will stay off your ass lol
Cardiff07
Fuck. 150? I’m buying the 25# tub.
marsupialsales
150 days. Next question.
Doozelmeister
Real question: 150 total or have 150 that are perfect? Some days for me those are two very different questions.
GreatEscap
Question is how fresh the eggs were before being boiled…
1-2 days? At 3-4 eggs a minute I’d get this done in 30-35 minutes Probably
2-4? It’ll take me 35 minutes to peel the 120 eggs that will not fall apart from me looking at them
rlscuba_steve3000
Fuck that. You can buy boiled eggs already peeled.
war_badger
Minimum of 5 minutes
Huge_Aerie2435
I wouldn’t.. If I needed 150 eggs boiled eggs I am just ordering them in. People hate it, but you’d never notice the difference.
BirdBurnett
If I cooked them…. 23 minutes.

Used to work with a guy that did some time. He worked in the kitchen while serving. In the kitchen they boiled a couple hundred eggs a day. He swore by the method of boiling, icing immediately after, and oiling up his hands (gloves) to make the peel slippery enough to get under the membrane cleanly.
Always curious about these, might be worth it since you go through so much egg salad
bubblewrapbones
Long enough that I would order them already peeled and use the labor for something else more important.
Ectobatic
I can eat 50 eggs.
humbltrailer
With this mouth? 10, 15 tops
Ripfengor
I can never get my hard boiled eggs peel-able; I always end up taking chunks of egg with me. I feel like I’ve tried all sorts of methods but can’t nail it – any tips?
HondaCivicLover98
3 minutes and I eat whatever I can’t get done within that time frame with the shell
Cornhol1io
10 to 15 mins
Solid_Perspective102
It depends how many I put in my anus at once.
Easy_Government_3137
20 mins probably
Jheintz21
At my ramen shop we do 180 soft boiled every day. Takes my prep guy about an hour.
Finneagan
About 2 hours give or take, start to finish… from empty station to emptied station
gyuushii
I average 8 eggs a minute so assuming they’re all ready to peel less than half an hour with the clean up time.
Am a ramen chef so I’ve peeled thousands upon thousands upon thousands.
buttsniffer33678668
At least an undisclosed amount of time
Jacornicopia
The amount of time it takes me to peel 300 eggs. The shells always stick to the egg for me and I have to throw it in the compost.
Tell_On_Your_Uncle
I wouldn’t. Next question.
imisswhatredditwas
Depends entirely on the eggs in my experience
FoaD420
So here’s how I boil them… boiling water.drop eggs.. bring to a boil and I do about 5 minutes. Turn off, cover and let set for another 8 minutes or so…then shock with plenty of ice…
They usually come right off 95% of the time. Sometimes I lose track of time, or it’s the eggs themselves when they don’t peel well. Don’t pick at em, I use both thumbs and first fingers to press on it lightly while rolling in my fingers.
ThreeBill
2 min ours come in pre peeled lol
Cyclist007
That depends entirely if I’m being paid hourly or salary.
