OMG you don’t hear good thing about US supermarkets here in Europe, but this looks like heaven to me, all vegan proteins but not the overpriced stuff from the vegan aisle.

where are you at? usually Walmart has beans for less than a dollar.

Goya = Drumpf. Stay away

No dried beans? No store brand either? I’d watch to see if they ever go on sale and then stock up.

The ones on the bottom are 1.29?

Too expensive. Or is it a brand like that?

Goya like a gucci label on some plain old socks

Goya is always more expensive at my grocery store. Does your store sell other brands (like store brand)? Or dry beans?
If not, I would suggest ordering your beans online.

As others have said, Goya are always more expensive than store brand. They’re trying to capitalize on the Hispanic market and squeeze those pennies.

If that’s all they have locally order dry beans online. Sam’s club and Costco have delivery.

Apparently canned beans are to dried beans what cold cuts are to a fresh cut of whole meat: the “pay for convenience” version. It’s just that beans are so cheap to begin with that canned beans are still semi-reasonable.
Then, you stack the fact that Goya is apparently the Cadillac / Apple Watch premium brand where you’re apparently just paying for the label.
I still can’t believe that’s still a thing in the 21st century. Paying extra just because someone owns a name they print on the package and they say so. It’s not like the old days when a brand usually meant a particular standard of quality. Everything sucks almost equally at this point, so brand names just mean throwing away money, 99% of the time.

I didn’t even know they made this many beans.

Dollar store sells Goya beans $1.25

The premium name brand items are more expensive than store brand, color me shocked!

If you have a target nearby they usually have low priced beans that don’t have the additives Goya puts in theirs

The Bean Index. Goya got into some political sided crap , so I have avoided buying the brand. They’re more expensive for sure. Store brand will do for cheaper.

I remember when the cans were .88¢. So wild

Buy dry beans in bulk. If you have an instant pot you don’t even have to soak them.

Goya goes hard idc what anyone says. I ate them growing up and I can definitely taste the difference between the store brand and Goya
