I found my grandmothers pressure cooker/canners. Are they worth fixing up or would they be dangerous?

What a cool find! It all comes down to if you can find new replacement parts. At the very least you’ll want a new lid seal and likely safety valve seal. If you can find the parts and it’s in good condition with no corrosion, it would totally be usable! Contact your local county extension office for information on getting the gauge tested.

I just took my Mom’s from her basement this summer. Had the guage tested (it’s accurate!) and got seals so I’m ready to try it out. I’m planning on doing broth and soups this winter.
