[NYTimes Gift Article – How to Win the Restaurant Reservation Game](https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2023/10/23/dining/restaurant-reservations-nyc.html?unlocked_article_code=1.5Ew.yk6E.LdCZuhFH8REY&smid=url-share)
Feels like I see questions about how to get reservations a lot on this sub so I thought I’d share.
They article focuses on how reservations work at [Semma](https://www.yelp.com/biz/semma-new-york-2). They charge $50 per person for the reservation to discourage scalpers and resellers. The reservation fee will apply as credit towards the final bill.

thanks for posting this, super interesting to get the inner workings of the reservations. the visualization is fun as well.
Interesting, I was wondering why it was so hard. I often take out of city visitors there as a meal and it’s been more and more difficult to do so. Often times though I end up going to their sister restaurant Masalawala & Sons in Brooklyn (which I honestly find better)
