I was a die hard Chili John’s fan but Carney’s blew me away today. The bun is impossibly soft and pillowy, the chili is very well balanced and isn’t greasy at all. I think the hot dog and other toppings are slightly better at Chili John’s but their chili is fairy heavy and their buns are just mediocre.

Fries at both locations are great but Chili John’s wins best fries with their seasoned fries which are like Rally’s but better.

I agree. The red eye is good if you like a little kick.

Have you tried Larry’s Chili Dog? Just down the street from Chili John’s.

I don’t know that I’ll ever be won over by chili anywhere in LA, but Larry’s has the best dogs and fries in the area as far as I’m concerned.

The chili burgers and chili fries there are also incredible. Those thick n tomato slices drive it home. Plus you get to eat in a choo choo train.

It’s a fork and knife hot dog for sure. So good!

This specific kind of chili dog is secretly a Coney Dog. It’s of midwestern Macedonian origin. The tomato doesn’t need to be there though.

They sure are. Although I miss the Weiner Factory in the valley. I always ask for my Carney’s chili dog without the crazy slice of tomato and w shredded cheddar cheese
