Is this a health hazard or should I try clean it up? I am so disgusted :(
I think I put the porcelain cooking thingy on top while this metal was wet. Now its all fungus all over. What do I do??

You can definitely try to clean it but I’d clean it at least twice and store the pot outside of the base from now with the lid off
gogozrx
very hot water, scotchbrite, and elbow grease.
do not fill that with water.

Id hit it with yellow cap oven cleaner as it will destroy anything organic remaining after whatever you did to initially clean. Coat it in and out with the spray, put in a plastic bag in a well ventilated area overnight. then wash out with dawn and a nylon kitchen brush or sponge.

I know you CAN clean it, but that would be the only thing I could think of every time I used it. I would go get a new one, Walmart, 30$

*3 steps, 5min:* 1) Wipe clean the cooker’s interior and pot exterior to remove organic matter 2) spray or wipe cooker with hydrogen peroxide damp sponge/cloth 3) pause 90s until fizzing stops. 4) For the cooker exterior wipe that with rubbing alcohol 70%, no dilution. 5) wipe dry your cooker’s interior 6) Run it once on high (with any contents Ex. water) as a test drive for odours.
