In our last video we showed you how to make the easiest sourdough starter ever! With no measuring, discarding, or long term feedings! In this video we show you how to reactivate that starter from it’s long term storage dormant state and make an amazing loaf of sourdough bread with it!

  1. looks great and very easy to make. i am not a fan of strech and fold method myself. how long did you bake it for? you didnt mention that….i know each oven has differant times but plz give us a rough estimate. thanks.

  2. forgot to mention… i never throw away any of the "discard" of the regular starter…you can make many things with it like pancakes tortilla

  3. I'm on day 7 with my first starter, and almost ready to bake my first bread. I don't have a Dutch oven and want a round loaf like yours. Did you just bake on a sheet pan?

  4. I would think the heat when baking would kill any of the nutrients from the sourdough starter ferment. Just wondering! Love your t-shirt and your daughter is adorable.

  5. Do I need to do anything different if I'm using freshly ground whole wheat flour? I know you use whole grain flours so I hope you've already experimented with this.

  6. So glad i found your channel. I have been wanting to make my own sourdough starter and replace store bought bread but all the recipes i seen seemed very complicated and wasteful with the disgard. I love that you included the process of preserving it to stuck in the fridge for a bit while not baking and then showing how to reactivate and convert recipes! These 2 videos have made me excited to start! And not intimidated to start even with a baby coming in December. Ill be able to put it up u til im ready to start baking again. Thank you! Now i just need to get some active yogurt!

  7. 3:42 is where she starts showing how to activate the EZ starter.

I keep a thick starter, myself, so really am appreciating this video. So many vids show the 100% hydration starter, and it has been (really) hit or miss getting from my thick, dry starter, to a loaf of bread.
    Thank you so much.
