The recipe (https://www.seriouseats.com/soft-frosted-sugar-cookies-homemade-lofthouse) doesn’t have any details on making the dough in advance and freezing. Has anyone tried? I wonder if it wouldn’t freeze well because it’s more like a cake batter than a traditional cookie dough ? I’d like to include this in my holiday cookie tins this year and want to know if it’s something I can prep in advance!

I haven’t frozen the dough but I have frozen the cookies after making and frosting them. The cookies freeze well! And they thaw quickly so we can pull some out of the freezer and just have them sit a few minutes before eating them.
