I usually hit Nashville for some hot chicken when going between NC and Kansas. But most of the places I haven’t tried yet are closed on Monday, so I hit this spot in NC. It is legit. I had their Hot, which is 2 down from their hottest. I usually start there when trying a place for the first time to judge heat and taste. Nice heat and flavor. I would put the heat level just below Prince’s XHot or between Hattie B’s Hot & Damn Hot. Didn’t tear up the stomach but did tingle as I continued my journey. Biscuit and Corn Pudding also tasty. Sorry didn’t take picture of chicken.

Rocky’s is the shiiiit! My buddy insisted I go there when I visited him in Asheville. It is so tender, juicy, and spicy. The atmosphere is cool too.

I talked to the guy who started this place a few years ago. He travelled to Nashville and went to Prince’s to learn how to make the hot chicken. We hit this place every time we visit Asheville.
