SLT FOREVER!!! I just want to put some in a thermos and sip it all day long. I bought the concentrated broth at Costco, but it is not the same at all.

Completely unrelated, but ever since I was a kid I loved loved loved seolleongtang. It was my dad’s favorite too and we would season it the same way with a lot of green onions and black pepper. My aunts (my dad’s sisters) were really good at making it. Whenever we had seolleongtang, my mom (who really hated my aunts and my dad…they’ve been divorced for 15+ years now) would look at me and say in that judgey Korean tone, “You’re just like your dad and like seolleongtang.” I was always on my mom’s side when she and my dad fought, so I thought liking seolleongtang was something to be embarrassed about. Now that I’m older it’s nice to see that others love it too 😅

I know restaurants in my area that add milk to get that color stock.
