it sucks, and was worse when the story was posted and tons of people were responded acting like Guerilla deserved it because they didn’t like the tacos or thought they were too expensive
Orchidwalker
Absolutely awful this happened. Tacos will now be $17 each.
Also I’d like to know what “frivolous ADA claims” were made.

DAMN that’s an inside job for sure. What are the chances they happen to be searching for the safe while she’s out of town. This is horrible.

Although I never ate there I feel bad this is an LA institution and I love the owner’s startup story

Why does a small restaurant have $20K in cash on their premises??
JMCrown
Yeah…I’m a little suspicious. Who the hell keeps $20K cash on hand? Also, their other restaurant was robbed recently too?
Looks like they’re looking for handouts by making up a sob story.
RegularOrMenthol
this is fucked up, that place is delicious
TyrionJoestar
They should make that back quick selling tacos for $8 lol
otterlarry
This is probably an inside job

You can make money drops at night. No reason to have all that cash. Inside job.

Why haven’t any business done the trap do thing. I seen a video on here of a business owner put in a fake room with a door that locked behind it. I believe they would lock the room at the end of the day so no one would get stuck during business hours.

This is another reason businesses should move toward as cashless of a business as possible. IMO business owners are short sighted to want only cash to avoid paying card transaction fees and dodge taxes. There’s a real cost associated with handling cash (time in making cash drops at the bank, reconciling the registers, in addition to the risk of both internal and external theft).

Insurance? Most business that handle cash have coverage for it as part of their property coverage.

Definitely an inside job, who even keeps that much cash on premise without a night drop.
GuacamoleFrejole
They need to switch to cashless, now.
AMARIS86
Their prices have been robbing me, must be karma
