Thought I’d share my first ever attempt at pie. I’ve never made pie, or dough for that matter, in my life but had 20 apples and figured an apple pie would be a good way to use some up. Everything is made from scratch.
I know the lattice is a little rough, but I felt like if I’m making a pie I had to make my first attempt worth while lol.
Also if anyone has good apple recipes that they want to share that’d be great as I still have about 8 or 9 apples to use up.

That is a beautiful pie. My dad used to make super old fashioned pies as he was born in 1947 and passed recently, and this pie reminds me of his. His pies weren’t nearly as neatly put together as yours, but they looked similar and tasted amazing🥹
Also, if you have extra filling or dough, make some apple turnovers/pockets. That’s what my mom used to do and they were always so good!
