I also had three serranos in the bowl. I didn’t even think it would burn my hands, I’m so dumb. Usually when chopping peppers a quick hand wash will get everything off but submerging my hands in capsaicin rich stock was a MISTAKE

I’ve never had peppers burn my hands regardless of the process. I’ve not even heard of that before.

You must have some spicy pablanos, they are usually super mild.

I’ve made the green chili a couple times (it’s so good!!) and yes my skin got really irritated and felt burning for the rest of the evening last time. Next time I’ll try to remember to wear the gloves my husband bought for barbecuing
