Date salted caramel: – 1 cup pitted medjool dates (these should be soft, ones that are super old will be more hard so if so may just need to soak in some water before hand) – 1/4-1/2 tsp sel fin salt (or whatever salt but this one tickles my fancy) Used 1/2 tsp. – 1/4 cup plant milk of choice (used homemade cashew milk). Could get away with just water here too.

– 2 peeled frozen bananas (ideally it will be lightly spotted on skin before freezing) – 1 to 2 chopped frozen apple (using a green apple here bc that tartness be bussin). If using a not so tart apple you can add a splash of lemon juice. – 3 tbsp maple syrup – Splash of vanilla – Cinnamon to taste
Directions: 1. In food processor add all ingredients for your salted date ‘caramel’. Process on high until smooth. Set aside. 2. In high speed blender add maple syrup, frozen bananas, frozen apples, vanilla, and cinnamon. Want to do maple syrup first. Using a 32 oz vitamix here so if using a larger blender you will need to up the amounts. 3. Blend on high, pushing down with a tamper until smooth. You’ll push down in the 4 corners. 4. Put in bowl and swirl in some of that date salted caramel! I like to microwave my caramel for a little to make it warm 🥳 Enjoy!!
