Drove by the old Sonic that’s been a “coming soon” Pollo Rico forever and it’s lit up like an airport runway and open for business. Everything is spelled right on the sign, too.

Anyone ever been to el pollo regio in DFW? Is there anything like it here specifically that red marinade chicken with the salsa bar and chips.

“Come son” one way, “Come sun” the other way.
But seriously glad to see this finally open. The sonic closed forever ago.

Hell yes. Please tell me that fried seafood place next door is still there too. Either way, better than having an abandoned sonic with a random couch and trash pile just sitting there. Now, real food. Actually good food, plus all the sides, and cheap? Yes.

Why did most of the Sonics in Austin close? Around the time that one closed like 3 other did too.

Cool to see this finally open. I typically get my chicken at Pollos Asados El Norteño on the other side of 183 off 969. Has anyone had both and can compare?

We have one in Manor, the carne asada is pretty good! The pollo is also very tasty.
