Shrimp & Grits has to be one of the best brunch options of all time. I’m not really a brunch girl, but if I see this on a menu, I’m getting it every time! Lately I’ve been disappointed with every shrimp & grits dish I’ve tried at different restaurants, so I decided to just make it myself & satisfy that craving. When I tell you I’m in heaven!! I fell in love with shrimp & grits back in 2016 on a trip to Miami, eating breakfast at The Front Porch Cafe. Ingredients:

Shrimp
* 1 pound jumbo shrimp, size 16-20
* 1 teaspoon kosher salt, diamond crystal
* 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
* 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
* 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
* 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
* avocado oil (or any other neutral cooking oil)

Gravy
* 1/4 red bell pepper, minced
* 1/4 green bell pepper, minced
* 1/2 serrano pepper, mined
* 1/4 yellow onion, minced
* 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
* 3 tablespoons wondra flour, or ap flour
* 2 cups chicken stock or shrimp stock
* 1/4 bunch cilantro, chopped
* grits, prepared for serving
