Haven’t been to a place that lives up to its hype as much as this one did. Flaky, buttery pastry wrapped around mild soft cheese, with a simple side of boiled eggs, pickles, tomato pulp and a potent red zhoug. The Turkish coffee with cardamom was excellent. 10/10 would sit through 405 traffic again just to eat this.

This place is so solid! If you go on the weekend try to show up early. Gets very busy.

Insanely good. (Except for that tomato dipping sauce, that stuff is way too bland.) When I went a few months ago I called my order ahead by about an hour and just walked up and picked it up while hordes of people were waiting.

This looks amazing but Sherman Oaks is sooo far.

Any suggestions for something similar closer to the SGV?

The chocolate ones are delightful. The potato ones are also really good. It’s an amazing spot.

can confirm, those borekas are amazing and worth the traffic on the 101. plus you can skip that line if you call in your order.

These are so good, but so rich. My heart freaks out whenever I’ve eaten them.

It’s pretty impressive that the line isn’t crazy when you consider that they serve until they run out everyday.
