Falafel flatbread is a vegan and gluten-free bread made from a blend of herbs, vegetables, and chickpeas. It’s a unique take on a traditional flatbread that’s bursting with fresh and savory Mediterranean flavors. If you combined my socca flatbread recipe and my falafel recipe, then cut it into squares, this is what you get. A delicious, healthy recipe!
My favorite part about this recipe is the falafel flatbread’s versatility. You can dip it into hummus, use it as sandwich bread, or pile on tons of fresh toppings. Make sure to check out the blog post on the website for the full recipe and more topping ideas. Enjoy!

Falafel flatbread is the new sweet potato toast. 😉 I hope you guys enjoy this recipe as much as I do and really have fun with the versatility of it. What would you make or top on your falafel flatbread? Let me know! xo – Lisa

Where can I buy the book
Love your process!
Thanks for this recipe. I used 2 tablespoons of applesauce instead of oil, and it came out awesome 👌
Mouthwatering 😮 I will defiantly try it because I love falafel. Didn’t you forget sesames? Love❤from Stockholm-Sweden
Can I roast it on a heavy cast iron skillet instead of baking in an oven? Also, how long does it keep in the fridge and freezer?
I’m going to try this recipe tomorrow! I was surprised that the chickpeas are not boiled in water, I guess it must make them too soft. So you cook them in the oven after they soak overnight is that right?
I forgot to add the chickpea flour when making this recipe but it still stayed together , was chilling it in the fridge and the internet went down temporarily..but next time I will remember !! I was worrying though!!
how do you eat this "open-face sandwiches"? not to mention the green godess monster thingy 😉
Mind: blown
Do you Know if it can be stored a trompé temperature ?
Masha Allah..an simple quick recipe… thank you… insha Allah will try this soon.
Just wondering… if we can add a bit of baking soda for a crisp beard texture sis 🤔
Absolutely brilliant Lisa. I had forgotten about this recipe but I saw when I came back to get your falafel recipe. This flatbread is sooooo delicious! Thank you!
Very creative! I enjoy watching your videos and appreciate the healthy recipes. Thank you for sharing!
Beautiful. Thank you! 🙏
Thank you for this yummy recipe!
The first time I made it, I skipped the cardamom because I didn’t have any and used sorghum flour since I didn’t have chickpea flour. Turned out pretty good! And you are right, VERY filling.
The second time I made it, o thought I’d switch it up a bit. Reason being I make my own hummus and eat a LOT of it, so I thought not to eat more chickpeas.
This time I used a cup of black beans (soaked 24 hours with a water change in between) and millet flour. Still haven’t found my cardamom if I ever had it so skipped it again.
Still turns out tasting felafely which I like.
I think if I use black beans again, I’ll skip the cumin, add chili powder, replace one of the waters with fresh lime juice (maybe two, we’ll see). This will make it less felafely but more south of the border. Not sure which flour I’ll use, maybe buckwheat.
This is fun! (But I need to invest in a bigger food processor- I have the tiny one for sauces and dips!)
Thx again!!
