I had a request for Gravy Without Xanthan Gum. This is it 🙂 Super Easy to make as long as you stay with it and stir alot.
Whether you call it Sausage Gravy, Saw Mill Gravy, Pepper Gravy or White Gravy We can all agree this is a staple in most southern homes. So, when hubby and I went Keto we absolutely had to figure out our gravy and this is Perfect. We actually like it better then the flour gravy we used to make while on the SAD (Standard American Diet)! This is perfect whether on a Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto diet or Gluten Free.
1 lb Gound Sausage
Heavy Whipping Cream to desired amount
Salt & Pepper to taste

Great that you have shown a version without the xanthum gum. As someone who counts carbs, I would love to take this super easy recipe and somehow cut back on so much heavy cream. Any ideas?

FYI I in addition to heavy cream I use cream cheese to get my gravy or cream soups creamy. Is cream cheese ok to use in carnivore? TFS your great recipe.
Thank you for the video. I have been using glucommanen (konjac) powder. Works really well or beef gelatin works too. Of course, heavy cream is a must. 😁

I use a bit of cream cheese and a couple slices of pepper jack cheese and it thickens it up
Some people use an ounce or two of cream cheese to thicken their gravy. I usually do what Carrie Brown recommends…..use glucomannan in sauces, soups, etc. and xanthan gum in baked goods. There are several ways, so just find the path you like for the results you want.

I so love biscuits and sausage gravy and for 270 days on carnivore now I have not had cream gravy and obviously no biscuits. Thanks for this. Other carnivore cream gravy has been terrible this will be awsome. Thanks
