Just wanted to come on here and share my NYC food spots I’ve started to gather since around the summer (from my own and from here) Feel free to recommend more, I’d love to check it out!

I cannot take anyone who puts Serafina on a favourites list seriously.

Veselka is such a tourist trap now. If someone is looking for quality, Streetcha is the move. There are also a bunch of great Polish spots in Greenpoint, which is effectively Ukie adjacent.

886 is good but if that’s your top of your list you need to visit ho foods or go to flushing queens. Day and night experience.
Same goes for Nam Wah. You can throw a rock in Chinatown and hit better dim sum spots.

I’m sorry but Nom Wah is arguably the worst dimsum in all of nyc and is the epitome of a tourist trap. The menu is extremely limited in terms of items and whatever they do have is bland and flavorless. Just look at the demographic of customers that go to Nom Wah and that should tell you enough.
