How To Make Lebanese Pita Bread

1 sachet dry yeast
1 tsp white sugar
1 1/4 cup warm water
pinch salt
app 3.5 cups plain flour

  3. Hi do you know how to make fatayer? Or the pitta they have in Sharmas? I rely enjoy the lamb sandwich Sharma bread but it's not a wrap it's like a pitta bread thing and am guessing it made the same way you would make a fatayer bread

  7. you lost me at sachet of yeast why all these people thing we all have sachet of yeast do a recipe rite with grams or ounces is it so hard ?

  8. How is this different than Lavash? In the US they sell Pita that is really thick and tastes dry, which I don't enjoy.. I like Lavash and this recipe seems about the same but it uses yeast.

  11. Okay I need to make 24 of them with 12 cups of flour 4 cups of water yeast but how much salt do I use

  12. Lebanese bread.
    11 1/2 C of flour
    2 tlbs of salt
    3 1/2 C of water
    1/2 C warm Water
    Put two small package of yeast 1/2 C Warm Water
    Set a side
    Mix Salt & Flour together
    Put your 3 1/2 C of water in a bowl
    Mix salt flour together
    Gradually add to Water
    When it starts to get dry
    Then you will add the yeast mixture
    When done kneed and when done
    Put butter on top.
    Cover dough until double into size
    Make small balls.
    Cover 20 minutes

  13. Hi Cheff, what type of Flour to make Lebanese Bread, its pure Wheat flour, or normal Bread Flour, similar with flour for Pizza dough?
