This is an oddly specific request, but does anybody have recommendations for restaurants that are normally not open on the weekend or have unusual hours? I work a standard M-F job, but I get the holiday off tomorrow and want to try a place that I can’t usually go to with my normal work schedule. For example, I’ve been wanting to check out [La Morada](https://lamorada.nyc/) in the Bronx, but I just checked their website and it looks like they’re only open Monday – Wednesday 10am-5pm (!), so I really don’t know when I’ll be able to go there, short of taking a day off. Thanks!

  1. Worjip is closed on Sundays, though they’re open on Saturdays…

Doughnut Project is open Wed-Sun, but only till 2PM (or when they sell out).

You could try looking around Midtown or Financial District, since a lot of those places are catering to the 9-5 crowd…

Check the financial district. About 15 years ago I worked at a place that was only open on weekdays, bc their customers were really just the office workers. However, now it’s become a much more residential area than it used to be, but if there’s an area that’s weekday centric it’s that

Not exactly a restaurant but ACME fish co is only open to the public on Friday mornings.

Not a restaurant, but Burrow, a Japanese bakery in Dumbo is only open M-F or T-F

Grand Central Oyster Bar is the only right answer to this

    Couple places with different hours

Teranga has two locations – Midtown which is only open Monday – Friday and a Harlem location only open weekends

Mama Yoshi Mini Mart – out in queens but really good chicken Katsu open Wed -Sat but they close early sat

Uncle Gussys gyro – open Mon to Fri till 4

Caffe Panna – they’re open Wed to Sun and come out with new flavors each week, going during early hours on a weekday might have save you from a long line

  7. Both Dame (excellent seafood) and Lord’s (English bistro) are only open Monday-Friday though Lord’s would be the easier one to walk in and sit at the bar.
