Oaxacan Wipeout at La Holly. Mezcal-y but approachable enough for those that aren’t typically mezcal drinkers. For whatever reason, I feel like Austin is a mezcal/sotol/tequila town and this is one of the most unique and tasty drinks if you’re a fan of any of those.

I freaking adore Here Nor There, and their Whiskey Soda 2.0 is an incredible, unappreciated classic menu item there. Somehow it’s super light and clean, but has a bit of vanilla-y creaminess balanced by peat.

A nice simple Tequila Old Fashioned at the Elephant Room works for me every time. I’m no connoisseur, but I think their well tequila is actually really good.

Milk and Honey @ HNT is probably my favorite cocktail in the city at the moment.
The best drink I’ve ever had here is The Pearlmother which was on an older menu at Garage Bar.
Nickels Irish Coffee never misses and it does belong on the list but probably not a personal “best cocktails in the city” list.

I miss Haddingtons. Their Duck Fat Sazerac was a mouthful of deliciousness and the Dover to Calais got me obsessed with orgeat. RIP
