I guess there was some drama with the branding? This name is very funny.

Some of those prices are quite shocking without more of a description. $16 soup and a $15 quesadilla with mozzarella cheese?

  2. 16 dollars for 5 corn street tacos?

These things better be top tier.

Passed by last night and was surprised to see this after El Guero having just opened recently. $15 for a quesadilla?! 😂

  4. damn, and it had just opened too :/

I was super excited about the carnitas. now less so

1/2lb of carnitas for one person sounds like a powerful night on the commode for this guy.

wait is this real life? Being a fan of Carabao Express and then happy I don’t have to drive all the way to Lamar for Carnites El Guero. My heart can’t take any more drama at this little location. and ordering was a breeze!

so are the carnitas different ?

Was just telling myself I needed to make it back there. Now I’m having second thoughts. That was fast.

I saw this the other day, was confused as hell. Only managed to go once during their soft opening.

I’m fucking sorry.. Pozole for 16 bucks?! that’s a rip off. Especially because you can make a giant pots worth for 30 bucks or less.

That stretch of Parmer needs to be steam rolled and renovated. Hate all the businesses that look like residences.

  11. Food is pretty good. Chili’s charges about that much for a quesadilla and the food is ass. People should stop complaining.

  12. went yesterday, here is the torta with birria meat and the street tacos with trompo al pastor

I was pretty happy with the meal and the price structure being shown is weird because it includes the meat filling too.

Bruh. Why do Texans insist on low quality Mexican food? $15 for 5 tacos or a quesadilla is not that bad if it has quality ingredients. The COL is crazy in Austin as is. They gotta make money somehow.

  14. $16 for pozole? That had better be a whole gallon.

  15. BadassBokoblinPsycho

How much soup do you get for $16? Better be a goddamn quart.

  16. BrianOconneR34

Pozole, peasant soup of ancient culture can now be had for $16 bucks. We’ve made it Austin! /s

  17. Snoo_33033

That’s us…strange. It was only carnitas for like a month.

  18. Those soup prices feel like they’re trying to get away with Austin ramen prices.

  19. counterfe1t

Dem mexican cokes costing as much as a beer used to

I’m so over these places charging so much for so little. If you want to serve authentic Mexican food make it affordable or don’t even bother

The prices are up there, but I’m excited about this if they have actual grilled meats like good carne asada and add that grilled ribeye to the menu.
